OTLEY COURTHOUSE GALLERY

Danielle’s work over the years has been an eclectic mix of design, portraits, landscapes, collage and sculpture.

Her most recent work is a series of abstract paintings which engage the viewer through layers of colour combinations, shapes and marks which aim to take them on a visual journey of associations personal to them. The work does not aim to dictate but to suggest and facilitate access to the onlookers imaginary world.

Danielle is currently teaching in Singapore and has travelled extensively. She has exhibited in the UK, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Indonesia and Mexico.

    'The Hawker'

This painting was commissioned by the Intercontinental Hotel, to show the fascinating history of the surrounding area. It is a mixed-media piece, made of layers of imagery from vintage photography of Bugis and shows traditional ways of life for people over time. Bugis is rich with interesting stories and eclectic culture, making it a vibrant and limitless resource for inspiration.
